Title: tarvas
Post by: lucky on August 22, 2016, 02:55:38 PM
Ok , Some of you will remember me (lucky) from the old hot boat days  and barney's site , well im back lol .I am currently going threw and upgrading the tarva after a misfortunate decision on my part .
I am a teamster and was unable  to take my father out in the  boat ( family boat for  years)He was 75 and had alzhiemers . long story short i let my sisters boyfriend use the boat to take my dad and family out .. He sunk it . yayayayaya  i know .  So currently its been a slow process since may of 15. I just got my engine back from Joey Gross who went threw it . It is a converted four bolt and its all fresh with a nice roller cam .. should be bullet prof for this application . I will have to touch every thiing on the  boat as it sat over night on the   bottom of clearlake and no one told me they sunk it till three days after they pulled it up . I have some bottom work to do and i keep telling tom that he will see it soon ( and he will ) to do a set back on the pump .The bottom has some rock divits from rubbing the bottom . the carbs where corroded  the mag was corroded the alternator and starter where corroded lol . So i will keep ya all in the progress of the build and it will be a tribute to pops who got me into these dam boats .. I have owned flats ,cruisers and hydro . my favorite  boat was my howard v drive cruiser .. i look forward to another someday .. this is never enough  a 1976 tarva  see avatar .. guess i have to actually down load from the cloud lol

This sounds like a neat "family tribute" build.
Hopefully researchers will one day put a stop to this monster they call Alzheimer's.
Make sure you keep us posted regarding your build. And thank you very much. That's a cute kid pic.😃

Nice boat and cool story, prayers for your Dad. Awesome you're going thru the boat all the way, I'm sure it will pay off in the long run. I've got a tribute project in motion too, definitely makes the value of the project much higher.
