Title: The "Big Boat" 23' Crusader 454 BBC Bravo I
Post by: GT Jets on June 21, 2008, 07:17:50 PM
Here is a pic of the Old Man's 1987 Crusader mini offshore. Shasta '06

454 Mercruiser w/ Bravo I, raised "X" dimension, keel fins, Imco exhaust w/swirl tips.

This boat was black, orange, yellow and red (read;ugly) and is a recovered theft, it was comletely stripped, took two years to complete, runs about 65-70 MPH at 4750 RPM and rides like a limo! O0

You know, its funny you say that, if you look closely, this is one narrow son of a gun, 4 people and  dog and you're done, very deceiving, this hull is only 6'3" wide at the transom. Had 5 people, dog and ice chest in the little boat...Thats why I just bought a 20' open bow, probably won't be done til next season though :banghead:  At that point fuel will most likely be about $2900 a gal. ;D :screwy:

is a recovered theft

How do you find out about these recovered theft boats? Seems like it'd be a fairly inexpensive way to get into a nice boat.

I was in the boat buisness for 15 years,, They find me :banghead: I have found more boats than can be built, unfortunately as far as an inexpensive way to go, I recommend putting a value on your time........We have about 600+/- hours in getting that Crusader built.

Half of the fun is building them.
