Tryin out my Bimini top - too tall?
-
If you want to lower it without ruining it give me a shout...I lowered mine about a foot. Just need a pipe cutter and take the same amount off all 3 bars. I took off about 7" each bar and it still fits in same area when in tow mounts.

Bimini top or parachute.........yah you might wanna lower it down a bit

Lovin the Bimini top man... I had to cut mine down also. Angle grinder worked great for me, I think I took out 6" of mine and looks WAY better. Can't say I took 6" off all ends though.... 0_o ? Thanks again Corey.

Well it did seem to slow me down a tad, but it was nice to have the shade and not having to stoop while walking around. It was a very windy day and it didn't phase it, never any indication that it might be stressed. The front of it points downward so wind (so far) goes over it causing a little lift, rather than under it causing a bunch of drag. Had it mounted on the boat for a while but have never run with it DEPLOYED. LOL
Hmm, still not sure about this one.
Parachute? Really?

I admit it looks good that way! My creaky joints tell me I'd fall overboard trying to board from the bow (LOL), thanks for the opinions. :)

The tribal jet passing in the background reminds me of a question I wanted to ask.
I notice none the boat photos on this site include your guide dog on the bow, don't use them down south?

Trukinbear how tall is your bimini im looking to buy one and it seems like 46 inch is the common hight but I think 40 would be the right hight for my boat
-
Its 46, or 48.

That's a good topic to see the typical size of a Bimini for 17 to 20 foot jets

My boat is 18'8", the Bimini top is the model for 72"-78" wide, 72" long 3 bows, and 48" tall. My mounts are 16" above the floor so my top gives me 64" stand-up room with head slightly bent (I'm short). My usable cockpit area is 72" long, so it covers the whole thing.
