1984 Sleekcraft Kauai, 19' BBC. Went everywhere in that boat for 12 years. Walked into the shop in Sante Fe Springs and had them build it with Targa grafics. Trailer paint was still wet when I brought it home.  Enjoyed that boat so much, that I just bought a 1985, same style boat.

I'm ashamed to say it was a 76 Hondo flatbottom with a 396.  It was cheap.

My First Jet Boat not gonna count the little whacker  ;)
Sold my 16'Glastron whacker and bought this 76' Miller Bubbledeck "showroom new" in late 75' after the wifes dad gave me a ride in his jet .  Side story is a few years back after not seeing the boat for 30 years it came to JBP for jet work, I bought it back for 2500 bucks and restored it then resold it again (for more than I bought it for in the 70's :D

First pic (from a slide) is "brand new" first time in the water  (note no CF#s) I was 25, 2nd pic is Josh (about that same age) in the restored boat

My first boat was a 76 brendella bubble deck with a berk and 455. she was awesome to me for 5 years strong no problems. just add fuel and go everytime. then last season my basset t valve stuck open and roasted 2 cylinders and i put my foot and the throttle pedal through the floor all on the same trip. but I sold that boat to a buddy and he did an awesome job fixxing it all and im meeting him at puddingstone today for his first time putting it the water. Im takin the hawaiian just in case he needs something.

my favorite pic of the boat

First boat was a 1968 mark twain no pics. #2 was a 1982 Sea Ray 21 ft nice 355 SBS ran about 60. Then the need for speed kicked in and the #3 was a 21 foot Taylor open bow 454 BBC fastest I got it to was 72 on gps a little disapointing, and now I have #4 a 18 foot Taylor SJ 460 BBC 13:1 (work in progress) I have to re-do the whole thing.

Forgive the flood damaged scan, but it is the only picture of her left...

This boat is the reason I love low profile Hot Rods...My dad built this from a blank (did not even have HID #'s) 1978 Renegade, light layup race hull, 468 BBC, Bassetts, Berkeley with all the latest in 1979 technology...

This picture was taken days before my pop sold the boat to help buy a new house....Yes it is literally black with Maroon vinyl seats.....

I still dig the look of the baby moons   8)
