Why do people strap down their boat to their trailer, does that 1000++ pound boat asss really move around that much?

My heavy ass 20' Spectra moved.... alot. The bouncing on the trailers actually happens quite often. When I move my Specta tie it down, when it sits I undo them

My 21' moves also. Feels much more solid when tied down.

I've had an 18 footer bounce ALOT !   I've had my 24 footer slide  :o  3 or 4 inches during one particulary stupid event but I don't wanna talk about it.

I just called a guy, may go look later. I got my first jet for $1500. It was listed for $2500. It was  a '72 Challenger w/ a 440, I had it on craigs before I got it to the house, got $3240 out of it.
