Title: '78 Nordic 20' Daycruiser
Post by: NORDIC454 on October 22, 2010, 04:33:51 PM
Just a feeler, untill about June 2011,
1978 Nordic 20' daycruiser. My grandfather was the original owner, I've had it for the last 5 years. Very well taken care of, and loved. I am extremely anal with this boat.  Brand new 468 BBC. ( 6 hrs. on it now ) , Holley 850,very well built, runs tight and strong, there is as build thread. Those who know me can attest to the great motor this thing has. Going for the "resto-mod" theme, all hardware is new Dana billet parts. New gauges, bezels, switch panel, cleats, vents, handles, NEW diverter, cables(throttle, diverter, and forward/reverse). All plumbing is new, have a brand new oil cooler, just not installed yet. Will have new interior by the summer.

Wanting to ask $8,500
All comments welcome. Looking to get a bigger boat next summer for growing family. Just wanting to know if my expectations are realistic or way off. Thanks

Probably not out of line for what it is.

The problem is getting the boat in front of the right buyer at the right time.

Good luck  ;D

Times are tough all over if your looking for a quick sale you might want to drop the price down a bit , I did a search of some 20' daycruiser didn't want to jack your thread by posting them up here but a clean solid one with a BBC or BBF berk jg,split bowl shoe ride plate diverter etc, cause thats the setup too have and the deal breaker, or starting at $5,500 obo just giving you an idea.

gunna have to go with boost on this, the economy sucks balls

i have the same boat as you in pretty good shape and im not sure i could get 4k because it needs an interior.

now on the other hand, i see guys spend 2k and dump another 5k into it, and  this just makes me shake my head.

ah hell im gunna stop before i get started on all the dumb ass boat buyers.

good luck with the sale man, our nordics ride so nice  i think once you get a prospected buyer in the boat for a test ride the boat will sell itself.

If you really want to move your boat you need to put it out their, not just here on the boards, where are you advertising it at  gotta get it in front of the right buyers, like Ralph said the boat ride will sell it self good luck.
