I have no money and no room for it BUT if I did . . .
I would have NO problem handed over 14K for that boat if I was in the market EXCEPT I would be afraid to use it. Any little dirt or scratch would be like a knife in the gut. Simply beautiful boat.

I see no reason that he should not get 14k for that boat. Except maybe that steering wheel :D

Funny you mention the steering wheel. That caught my eye too. But I thought it was 70's kinda cool. Looks a lot like some I have had in cars b4.

Maybe but consider that no one builds this kind of boat any more. If you could buy one new it would run 14K just for the motor. Actually from the info in the ad the motor seems like the weak link. 500 hp seems a little low for the caliber of the entire package. At least he is being honest with his estimate. I would still be afraid to use it for fear of dinging it somehow.

O0You guys are startin' to worry me, I wanna buy the boat but I don't want to just put it in the garage or tow it around town, I wanna use the damn thing.....
Based on the components of the motor I think it is more around 550plus hp, it is running right at 11:1 compression. The only thing I can tell it needs is a bilge pump, and I would agree a new steering wheel, toooo much old school with that thing. Also, it appears only two owners, the original who had it built and then this family selling it now....thanks for your guys' input :banghead:

You could always tow it around the mall trolling for chicks ;D

Don't be listening to me, I know less than Beerjet ;) It is nothing more than the opinion of a broke ass family boat owner who is jealous beyond belief. I like to keep my stuff nice but I would never own something that I was afraid to use as it was intended. I have a 35 yr old dirt bike that is nicely restored but I race the hell out of it, just like it was designed to do. Good luck with whatever you decide.
