1974 hallett bubble deck
« on: June 13, 2016, 11:08:48 AM »
Been throwing around the idea of selling my pride and joy. Really need to buy a house and I would like to have some extra cash to throw around when the time comes. This boat has been my absolute baby for the last 5 years and it shows.

Motor

-9.5-1 compression (pump gas)

-455 olds block bore .060 over all machine work and modification done by clay smith

-KA heads with stainless valves ported by George at clay smith. Head are drilled and tapped and have oil return lines to pan

- High volume oil pump

-clay smith cam(don't know exact specs but it's a cacklin som bitch)

-Ceramic coated Bassett headers

-forged crank an forged speed pro Pistons

-10qrt oil pan

-Offenhauser tunnel ram

- two Holley 660 center squirters recently setup and rebuilt by c and j with one trip on them. Cost me over 700$ and gained 6 mph after taking them to
Him. Only one trip on new carbs

-braided lines and a/n fittings throughout

-new Ppe fuel pump with built in regulated. One trip on pump

-monster tourqe high tourqe starter has one season on it

-new wiring with correct color coding and wire labeling

-fresh powder coat on motor mounts and valve cover

Pump

-JC pump rebuilt and powder coated by marine industries west last winter.

-blue printed by gs marine

-Hydraulic place diverter

-aluminum b impeller

Hull

- original gel coat in awesome shape

-optima blue top with billet battery holder

-new gauges (tach, oil pressure, oil temp, volt, water temp)

-New rack n pinion steering cable, throttle and forward reverse cable

-fiberglass tanks were replaced with aluminum tanks

-custom chopped matching stainless Bimini

Trailer

-1974 competitive tandem axle is in great shape just could use some paint.

- sits on forged centerline wheels with new tires that have maybe 700 miles on them

I really don't want to sell this thing but it's starting to get tough to make river trips happen without having my own place out there and really need to buy my own house back at home. I am in absolutely no hurry to sell this thing. It's turn key and runs amazing. (71 on gps)
Don't let the olds motor scare you I've done all the proper medications to make it out run all my buddy's fords and Chevys. The only two things left on my to do list was upholstery and paint the trailer but just haven't got around to it. Boat has just under 400hrs in the last 42 years.

Asking 10,500$ and don't have a reason right now to take a whole lot less than that.

Call or text with any questions 714-742-3275

Still for sale and a little more motivated to sell. Found something I have my eye on. Boats located at my indoor storage unit in Blythe. If anyone's interested I can either meet there or bring it home. If I pull the trigger on the new boat I want I'll have the hallett at home in Orange County

You guys be safe there. When you come back I'd like to ask some questions about that fuel rail and the Scavenging system on your olds. All you guys be safe. Have fun.

The fuel rail was a custom deal the previous owner made. Threaded for -8 inlet and 2x -6 to each carb. I have 3/8 straws in each tank that come togethor at my fuel water seperator and then one -8 to my electric fuel pump the -8 fuel pump to fuel rail
