Title: 1976 Tarva/MRED
Post by: USCvictory on September 22, 2015, 06:30:28 PM
NO LONGER FOR SALE. Going to hang on to it and save up to get a second one.

1976 Tarva MRED 19.5'. Titled as an MRED. 460 BBF. All stock. Berkeley JC Pump. Boat is 100% original aside from the carpet and seat bottoms. Everything on the boat works. Dual Battery. I've owned the boat for about 4 months and has been dead reliable. I have taken it to Elsinore 4 consecutive times, Lake Martinez and went to Laughlin and drove it to Needles and back with no issues. I have a Petronix Billet marine Distributor that is new in the box. Boat has a bimini top and a boat cover. boat cover has a 6x6 in tear in left rear corner. Nothing major. Going to more of a low profile jet boat. Tandem Axle trailer. Boat has rash on the bottom. Gel Coat is great for a 40 year old boat. Has a multi lever throttle and forward reverse. Radio (generic but has a Aux jack with sub and 2 6x9"s) No amp. Motor has great oil psi. 60+ on start up and stays at 35+ when cruising after a while. Was told the pump was rebuilt 3 years ago. I can leave the boat in the water for all day with out needing to use a bilge pump. Tires are like new. No trailer brakes. I have 2 27"x 15" teak swim steps that go with the boat. Interior is a 7/10. Looks good cleaned up but has some cracks if you look for the. John 951-691-2684 $4500

I would hang on to the boat too! You looking at a 1 of 13 hulls ever produced by Mr. Ed/Tarva, and as far as I know they only made 4 or 5 jets from that mold. I almost contacted you to come down and buy it so I could start my mini collection.

I hear they only made a limited amount that were MR. Ed before they became Tarva. Didn't know it was that low of a number. I am actually taking it in today to get the bottom Re- Gel Coated. 40 years of nicks, scratches and rash. It's not bad but it'll clean it up. Is that scoop on yours stock?

I apologize for joining back into the conversation so late. A trip to Cali would be awesome! The further north would be great! I vote for Shasta! Look me up on Facebook "ednsteph tarva".

I have no idea if the scoop is on the right way or if its stock. I was able to track down three owners ago to ask him some questions, but he was of little help!

What do you think about sometime in May? We are still kind of chilly up here any earlier than that. I have to winterize my boat. I looked up the drive time and looks like nine hours for me.
