I dig this boat and have been emailing the owner.  I like the boat a lot.  Good color scheme and like the look of it.  In all honesty though I am no jet expert.  I owned an I/O, Outboard and V-drive.  But never a jet.  The time is coming soon to own my first jet.
This boat has a jetovater, not a place diverter.  Could you tell me exactly what the difference is?  I went back through the forums to get an idea, but want to know once and for all.

No big diffrence really other than brand name, and I think you get a few more degress of up and down travel in the Place unit over the berk piece.
Another thing to consider is that ALL the parts for a Place unit are readily and cheaply available where as the berk probably not so much on either account.
6K is a little on the high side for a splash of a boat you can get for about the same price.
Either way those Southwind/eliminator splashes are popular and so long as it checks out structually I'd be able to sleep at night.

Just to let you know, this is within ten to fifteen minutes of me if it's really located in Danville/San Ramon.  I could hop on over and take a look if you'd like me to.  Could give you a better idea of how it checks out before making the trip down from Sacto.

Also, thanks B & B for the offer.  Super awesome of you, but my buddy will be down there next week for work and is going to check it out for me.  Might even put an offer in just to see what the guy says.  Probably 5k and go from there.
