Nice looking boat.
-
Yes and no if you read any of my ads I had to basically rebuild the boat I've gone thru it with a fine tooth comb. It wasn't really even worth the $5,800 I paid for it.

What did you rebuild? Sounds like you did some routine maintenance.
-
Will you take 8600?
-
What all have you done to it?

$8600 is a very fair offer, If I gave $5800 and put $500 in it I would still make uhhh $2300, not bad, sell it to the man dude. WAIT, if the boat wasn't worth the $5800 when you bought it and you put $500 worth of parts on it then how much is it worth? :screwy:
-
So your first post to the site you ask how much your boats worth.........then admit to what an awesome deal it was when you had gotten it a few months prior and that the motor and pump had been built prior to you owning it and bla bla bla
Near two months later you put it up for sale for a price it's actually worth claiming you did some maintenance then pull the plug because of the "family"
And here we are today, almost two months later in boating season and its back up for sale And your claiming you went through it with a fine tooth comb AND bumped the price up 1500. Hmmm
Good luck with that buddy

i rebuild my carb for 20 bucks and put money in my boat.. that doesnt mean you gain all this extra cash in it.. it just makes it more appealing for still a lower price..
sounds like a slezz ball move to me...

Oh ok this coming from a guy that has a piece of shit 1972 boat is that right with probably a piece of shit ford motor then if I had to guess you drive a Eco boost ****** f150

So 8300?

Ouch, seems like someone has a thing against ford. Oh and by the way, I have met 72challenger he drives a Chevy.
You know I was just thinking, home boy combed through his boat with a "fine tooth comb" (regular maintenance) and the price shot up faster than my pecker does when I think of Hallet Dave's boat. So using his logic and considering I have stripped, flipped, glassed, painted, removed everything, reinstalled and replaced anything and everything that needed to be( combed through it with a fine tooth comb) my pos "71" pos "olds455" $2500 booger pile of a boat is worth an easy 13k
I think I like his way of thinking. Excuse me while I edit my listing on Craigslist

Sold $9,700

Nice boat! Go sell it on Craigslist or boat trader. The offer in this thread is reasonable and a quick sale without dealing with tire kickers.
By the way I a have a '68 Mercury with a built 347, my '78 boat with a warmed over 460, and my truck with a 6.0 diesel. What does it matter what brand someone favors. There's good and bad in every brand.

Sold $9,700
I call BS. But that is a nice Bimini!
You raped someone out of $4k, good work.
-
In the original thread " How much is it worth?", he was told $10k 3 times. Brad even said 10- 14k.
You don't know his situation for selling it.
Could he have worded/handled it better? Yeah.
But, with the mob jumping on his case for asking what they told him was a reasonable amount...
Do you guys have a problem with him selling for that much on SCJB because the past threads?
Or if he just sold it on craigslist for 10k and told you about it, would he get this much grief?
Is it that he comes off like he's trying to make money off a widow? I like to try to give people the benefit of a doubt.
I've seen some threads where a mob mentallity reacts to something and then someone comes
along and gives a different perspective that seems to make sense to me. Just trying to understand it, that's all.
-
Well I drive a GMC but Chevy is close enough. And I love my boat. Get a lot of complements on the motor. See open motor jets seem to get much more looks than a standard boat does. Your style is all over but boats like mine are more custom.
-
who cares what he paid for it? he offered money to someone and they took it. he didnt screw anyone out of anything. they had every right to say no and find out what it was really worth when they took the money.
that being said, the boat is worth what its worth. does this mean i have to sell my boat for $150 since thats all i paid for it?
cmon guys you should be better than this... :sly:

Whoa whoa whoa
What's wrong with fords in boats and f150 Eco boost trucks?
Explain this nonsense please?

I've not really chimed in on this thread, but I've been watching it.
The guy flipped the boat for a profit. He got the thing for a steal and turned it around to sell it to make a few bucks. Big Deal. You see this all the time with cars on TV (Fast n Loud, Pawn Stars, etc).
Although his personal attack I dont agree with, but can you blame him? Everyone was jumping all over him and he reacted like a cornered stray cat. You all were looking for a reaction and you got it.
Either way, the sale is done, lets move on.

All I can say is WOW ..

Well said Brad.
