Title: 1996 21' Caribbean Open Bow
Post by: flytime on October 08, 2008, 07:35:29 PM
Thinking about selling the cruiser. I know it isnt the best time but for the right amount of money I think I would let it go. 21' open bow, 454 BBC, Berk. pump, hyd. place diverter, tunes, tandem trailer, very clean. I would like to see at least 12k. We will see what happens. These are all the pictures I have for now.

   :o  :banghead:   :screwy:

Now that I've been through the variety of emotions...

I have to say your crazy for wanting to sell that boat.

Bob, I wish I had a way to get funding to buy that boat.

If someone doesn't buy that thing for what you are asking, they wouldn't no a good deal if it smacked them in the face.

BTW, when are we going skiing  ;D

Thanks Keith. Hopefully soon. If I had my Master Craft I could rent out the Inlet Channel at Elsinore and we could make that water our bitch all day without any chop. I just think my timing is bad. No big deal if it doesnt sell. Just another wild hair up my ass. :screwy:

Just my .02 worth here but I have spent a fair amount of time in tournament-type ski boats, and for my money they are not versatile enough.  They will pull a skier up instantly, but the wake is too high, the boat rides too rough above comfortable ski speeds, and they have no "personality".  They do have nice swim steps tho...

Bob, there were many times that I thought about doing the same thing. Especially when the kids were younger and all of our friends kids were afraid of the noise. Up until they were about 10 yrs. old they all skiied behind my friends Glastron. Good luck with the sale.  Ron

Wow, I didnt expect such a loving response ;D. Like I said, if it doent sell its not that big of a deal. Another reason for wanting a tournament boat is beacause I know there are few membership type lakes around that are ski only but you have to have the right boat , at some point I would really like to buy a place out in Canyon Lake to take advantage of the courses and also the Inlet Channel at Elsinore. Like I said, just another wild hair up my ass to have something different. I would love to keep the boat I have now and buy a ski boat but...cant afford both :banghead:

I don't know anyone who lives in Canyon Lake and has anything good to say about the "Association."  "They are a bunch of white superemists drunk on a little bit of power" was a quote from one of my co-workers that has lived there for 10 years.  And I could be wrong about this too, but I don't think there is enough water in the channel to keep you out of the brush in the Elsinore channel.  A while back my buddy broke down in there and they had to get a jet boat to pull him out as the regular Lake Rescue boat couldn't negotiate the shallows.  The main lake of Elsie is great as long as you are there early (and you don't swallow the water when you fall LOL).

I have some clients that have lived in Canyon Lake for years and love it. Jason(River dad) on SCJB lives out there and s
aid he loves it. I think wherever you live that has an association they are going to be some things that people are going to have problems with. Been there, done that. I was out at Elsinore a couple weeks ago and 3 boats in the channel. Trust me...not my first choice for ski water ;). I am more interested in some of the private lakes that you can become a member of. Look at me...I have jacked my own thread :o. Now back to selling my boat ;D

I say we all go out to Parker, we all line up and have Bob bend over and we take turns kicking him in the butt. When we are all done we will see if he still wants to get rid of it!  :screwy:

But I wish I had the cash for it Bob...absolutely beautiful!
