Title: 85 eliminator 19ft daytona
Post by: MADSKILLZ on June 12, 2009, 07:00:10 PM
My neighbor is selling his daytona. It was his old drag boat. Been sitting sense '97. The bottom was blueprinted by Shoemaker, the pump set up by Tom Papp. A little weathered. Asking 5k for it firm. You can call me @ 626-786-7779 Nick

Pretty normal for a tunnel IMO.... ;)

The engines mount strange in tunnel, our old aluminum tunnel's motormounts were about 1 1/2" tall from the tunnel... :sly:
Just don't ever drop a tool in the bilge.... :screwy:

look again dude. the motor rails are installed about 5 degrees opposite of what the pump would be installed at. that ain't normal.

The loader install has me more concerned  ;D

It is a custom made rail kit, the front mount is taller than the rear. Still seems pretty normal, just not semmetrical. The rails are very seldom parallel to the pump shaft.

Put your glasses on Ray, the hand hole cover is on there and thats a custom snap on cover.  Besides its an Eliminator Daytona, probably one of the best 19' tunnels hull around.   Not to sure about an old drag boat with TT exhaust and a bimini top,  but that hull is still one of the best around.  If I had the room it would be mine.

Yes it was an old drag boat! But then they turnned it into a ski boat. It has a sub floor that they added inbetween the stringers that can be easilly removed if you wanted to race it again. I am not exactly sure why they stopped going to the river, they used to run it at the saturday night drags at Lost Lake alot. I think it had to do with Health and financial reasons.

It pisses me off when people let cool boats like this go to shit. It takes too much time and money to bring um back .
