do you do anything for this board other than spam your stuff?
-
Do you want to sell it without an engine?
-
I thought that this WAS the spam section.... I didn't mean to offend. I have waaaay too many toys, I need to weed some of them out. My wife fell and herniated 4 discs recently, so I am selling the smaller boats. She can still ride in the 25 Daytona, but we can't launch it by ourselves. :'( I also try to help the others with problems as possible, but running the business and my other gig takes up most of my time. Some of you know what that is... and yes, I will sell the Challenger without the engine. Call for details, as I don't get on here as regularly as I'd like. Thanks, TIMM 623-877-8553

That's not a bad price Tim (with the tunnel ram and mag). Looks like the v-drive and the engine are in the right place. Soooo many times we see these old v-drives with the engines nearly touching the transom so that there is more seat room. Good to see that someone put the stuff where it's supposed to go.

??? Are all smaller v-drives (18' etc) supposed to have the engine in it where this engine is in at?
-
Its a balance thing. There are a few differing opinions on this. If the engine is too far back, then it is nose light, typically some down plate counteracts that, but for speed you don't want the drag of the plate. If everything can be in balance, then nothing fights anything else, and top speed and stability are happy. There are many ways to skin this cat and many will work close enough that the speeds are close. Ride, stability and safety are another story. TIMINATOR
