Hey Toes you ever had any problems with that Volvo outdrive?

My boat mechanic (ermondsboats.com) had me laughing the other day asying "I love mercruiser, they keep me in business! They're shit breaks all the time! Now Volvo's are real pieces of shit, they never break so the only time I make money off them is when I sell a boat with one..." He's a quirky dude. Smokes a big ass cigar every minute of the day and has not put a burn mark in anyones boat to this day. Cool guy.

Actually.... the Volvo works fine. no problems with it. When I sell this, I'll see what's available. I don't really want a prop again. It would have to be a smokin deal for me to even consider another prop. I really want a jet...... BBC or BBF,,,,, no real preference. Open bow would be nice again..... it's nice to have the room. My Lab loves ridin up there. Maybe a daycruizer?

stay away from the olds!! If you like the boat, why not throw a jet in the existing hull? The motor and boat are both in working condition. If you trade boat for boat , the new combo may be a gamble. Just my .02

I thought about that...... the hull is in good shape..... rides pretty good. I think it would probably require a whole new transom after the hole from outdrive. Then after doing the engine swap and a pump I would end up spending a lot of money. I dont know if I want to pour that much money into it. I think i read about someone here doing a conversion from stern-drive to jet. I would also have to redo the interior to make room for the big block. I'm really taking a liking to a Rogers or a Miller........... here's some pics.......... $5500 obo (310)951-0126
