Title: How do you know a boats vaule?
Post by: jeroger1 on May 17, 2010, 04:05:30 PM
How do you value custom built boats? This boat has a HIN of FLZ, which is a custom built Florida boat. It has a 454, but how do you get an idea of it's value? It's an 18 ft, 1992 model custom with a single axle trailer. They're asking around 6k. Thanks

Give him half .
The jet boats that are worth anything are built by well known builders.
Even in this economy , those arent worth much.
That there is a Hondo Knock off.
Also known as a 3k boat.
I would say $4500 tops

That and the trailer looks a little short.
Which could make it way less seeing as how the bottom of the boat is a disaster now.
At least thats what I would say  :sly:

I dont understand why the owner would let the boat hang off the back of the trailer like this. It looks like it could easily moved forward by moving the section that the boat latches (dont know the correct term) to.

yeah, where the wench mount is needs to be moved forward.

i've seen people do this because when they want to drop their tailgate, it hits the wench.

That makes sense but that's not the case with this one. The tailgate would hit the trailer jack first.
