My boat was stolen from a storage facility in San Diego over the weekend. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! Just want to get this out in the community. It is a 1976 Hallett Mini Day cruiser with BBC/Berk jet. Cream with chocolate stripes and dark brown interior. Dark brown metallic trailer with chrome steel wheels. CF 8866 FX painted on boat and trailer. All major engine components and jet stamped with ID# G0603582 into metal. Boat was ordered new by my dad in 1975 and has been in the family since. I would really like it back, don't know what my chances are. Once again any help would be awesome!

Update
Boat was recovered today. No engine. They basically cut it out of the boat, along with my new custom aluminum gas tanks. Cut right through the swim step. Punched couple holes in the deck. Basically a mess. Keeping a close watch for the engine or any of the parts.

Sorry to here about this, I think it is even worse that it has been in the family since new. What part of town was it stored at?

Seconded... Not only if it a stolen boat, it's a family airloom! That sucks, I'll tell all the drivers at work to keep and eye out for it.

The hull is intact for the most part. They made two holes in the deck on the sides. They cut out my glassed in aluminum gas tanks. Took stereo and speedo. Engine and all accessories are gone. Trailer looks unharmed. Jet is untouched. They cut through the swim step, most likely because an engine hoist won't reach otherwise. Total loss as far as insurance is concerned. Have to start negotiating with them now.

terrible news man...
are you going to rebuild it once its all said and done and check is in the mail? the swim step is bad enough but most of the time they end up sawzall'ing the whole transom and bottom of the hull and just lift it out without even unbolting it...
whats the deal with the 2 holes in the deck? were they going to chain and lift it off the trailer or something?

Not sure why the holes in the deck. Nothing under them to gain access. Maybe just because they wanted to. Trying to decide what to do at this point. Not sure I have the time to put it all back together.
