Wasn't ol' rigger looking for one of these?

not that ugly bastard, thanks for thinking of me though. That's the old toad bottom with a very ugly cruiser deck. I am looking for a Toad, have been for over 20 years. I guess they're just so damn good looking that people keep them stashed away for themselves. :D

I didnt think they got uglier than the toad ..... I guess I was wrong :-\

Yeah, that's really ugly. What do you think, has to be the only one made. I can't imagine people lining up to buy one of those once the first one went together.

rigger what does it look like do you have a pic. thanks h2o
-
A toad?
-
rigger, a toad what??????? i have a worker of mine i call a toad he looks like it short fat and ugly
-
I wanted to know if you were asking if I had a picture of a toad? Not the boat in the ad but the one I said I'm trying to find.
By the way, short, fat and ugly pretty much describes a tahiti toad.
-
rigger i have a tahiti but it is 21 ft
-
yeah I know. Aren't you one of the guys I sent that flyer too that you are using in your avatar?
I still don't know what you're asking so I'll post a toad so you can at least see what I'm talking about.
This has nothing in common with your boat other than the name on the side of it. When I was a kid there was one of these that was raced in offshore races...factory race boat, lol...always liked them and always wanted one. When I see one on the net now I try to grab a pic of and save to a toad file that I have. Only seen 4 or 5 over the last few years.

rigger, my dad gave me the flyer when he got it 10yrs ago, but i think there is a boat like that in a avacado orchard in yorba linda, we built a pool in the backyard and to the side is a boat like that i notice it by the ugly rear end, it was beat and some old rain in it seat s gone melt down
-
my mistake. This old flyer has been passed around so much on the net I just assumed you got it there.

rigger, that looks like it in the rear is the VIN have the TAH letters in it as in my tahiti, if so i will go into records to find address and see if it is still there and see if it is a tahiti, i will let you know, maybe xmas comes early for the rigger
-
thanks. the early toads won't hava any number on the transom, but the last few will. the numbers in the gel didn't start until 73-4. If you find one that looks like a tahiti toad...it's a tahiti toad. no one else built that thing, for good reason I guess. ;D
the elusive toad. I can't count how many of my friends have known where one is stashed away through the years only to turn out be some other ugly piece of shit, not always even a Tahiti. I've seen 2 in person over the last 25 years, maybe 5 on the net. All jets and one I/O. you'd be the first to actually find one, and I'd owe you and your wife dinner.
this I/O pops up on craigslist from time to time but the guy's smoking crack on the price.

'nother jet that someone bought a few months ago on hot boat, butt ugly paint. have you ever seen so much junk mounted on a deck?
(https://www.socaljetboats.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fv210%2Fflyin-t%2F012.jpg&hash=b6163eb5dba412187ad74f705b72492b2457b5dd)
and this one, while not a 'toad' it was tagged toad II, or mini toad by the riggers back in the day and is my all time favorite Tahiti. Only seen 3 over the years. the yellow one was on ebay and some other tasteless fuker got a hold of the guy and bought it before the bidding was finished. it was in Texas and i was already figuring out how to get it back to so cal when it vanished. the other was for sale on hot boat but gone by the time i found the ad. you find one like either of these last two, i'll owe you something better than a dinner. maybe re-set your intake, or wire your boat or what ever else you might need on that tahiti of yours. ;)
