Hey Guys, I have a quick question about my 04 Silverado 5.3
I want to drain my radiator and according to the Haynes manual there is a drain valve on the lower left of the radiator and even a nifty little hose to direct what your draining into a container. Well wouldn't you know it mine has a couple of barbs where the manual shows the valve but No valve and it has the little holders for the hose but no hose. Is this some kind of California anti pollution deal or what?. Am I going to have to pull the block plugs to drain this thing? Any help you
Can provide will be greatly appreciated

There is a drain plug on the radiator. Probably just messed up. Question, is it a factory or aftermarket radiator?

The newer models did not come with any
Pet cock drain. Its got the mold in the side
Tank but its blocked off. Just pull the lower
Hose loose at the radiator and drain it.

105, 000 completely trouble free miles bitches. No squeeks or rattles and the only sign of wear n tear is a tiny bit of sun damage on the leather steering wheel. AND I have radiator petcocks too! And none of you guys have nearly the interior room of a Dodge.
Did ya know that some of them Fiats come with expresso machines? If you have a taste for a daily Starbux that could save a chunk of money.

GM declared war on me, not the other way around. I just plan to keep it going. I got shady treatment from every dealer in the county during my warranty period. They told me they didn't want me as a customer. i'm just trying to save others my pain and legal bills. Just sayin' . . .
-
i have never had good luck with dealerships, and refused to work for them because of the way that customers are treated. but that does not change the fact that there product is bad.there customer is just sh-t! got to learn to live with that part. or buy a fiat! ;D

1 quick story. My wife went to leave for work in the Gran Prix. The shifter handle came off in her hand (at 40K miles). When I called the dealer to tell them AAA was bringing it in their response was "that can't happen. You must have used force." That was the beginning of SIX trips to fix the problem correctly. Even after the 4th trip they would not spring for a rental car, even though it was going to be there for more than one day.
Another dealer told me when the electric window stopped working reliably at around the same time that "it was just an inconvenience and not covered until it stopped completely." Be warned.
Now back to that Silverado, go ahead, feel free to flag me down when I drive by and you are stuck on the side of the road somewhere.
