I AM LOOKING FOR A PLACE NEAR BAKERFIELD TO MEET MY BROTHER. SOMPLACE THAT ISN'T VERY CHOPY AND HAS NO SPEED LIMIT
-
Really not being a smart ass but, I don't think that place exists. Close would be Lake Isabella I guess. Not sure of anything North of that.
I don't know of the Speed Limit but, it does get a little choppy depending on wind which blows about 80% of the time. I hope that helps.

Pyramid lake is south about 1-1.5 hours. Or you can go north to lake kaweia which is about 1-1.5 hours or Lake success. Or west to Lake naicmiento or Lake San Antoniao which are about 2 hours away. Or stay in Bako and go to lake Buena Vista. It's shallow, there is a 45MPH speed limit and one of the two rangers(deputies not the rent a cop kind) is a d!ck. My self and a few friends will be out there saturday afternoon. It's only supposed to be 108 degrees. >:D

That about sums it up, there is Mendota Slough, I have not been yet but I've been told it's bitchin' no restrictions of any kind, no wakeboats, no bayliner shitboxes, pretty much flats and jets. There is a post on Performance Boats about it, I'd like to head up there soon, it's about 90 mins from my house......
