This kinda sucks.....
NEWS FROM LAKE SAN ANTONIO
SOUTH SHORE RAMPS REMAIN OPEN,
DESPITE NORTH SHORE RAMP CLOSURE
Due to low water levels and submerging hazards, we regret to inform you that all Lake San Antonio North Shore ramps are closed. Currently, camping and day use will continue to stay open at North Shore.
Lake San Antonio South Shore has the best water access with two launch ramps open. Beach camping has been opened at South Shore, so you can have the same benefits of camping at North Shore, on South Shore! We thank all of our loyal patrons, and urge them to utilize Lake San Antonio South Shore or Lake Nacimiento.

We're heading out from Berdoo Friday morning with 3 rv's and 3 boats, crossing my fingers that we'll have a decent spot for the next 10 days.. /:

At the bottom of San Antonio is a old mining town, Its actually kinda cool when that lake gets really low you are able to start to see some of it! And from what i have been told they left it all there , cars , trucks, houses a crane!
-
Some friends on mine were there last weekend, it was listed at 15% full... I think they said Nacy was only 55%.

I was at Naci a few weeks ago; there's plenty of water in there, just a longer walk from the campgrounds
-
a buddy of mine was there 2 weeks ago....and had to walk about 100 yards from shore in MUD just to get in water
im kinda glad I didn't go ! its WAY LOW !!
san Antonio that is .....

Got here today, staying on south shore near floating marina.. Feet sink 8 inches once you hit the water.. Pretty muddy about 30 feet from water.. Motorhomes are about 100 feet from water.. Not the worse we've seen in 30 years, but water is way way low..
-
good! well enjoy
-
Our local reservoir is at 2 percent. gave up on boating this year.

That just sucks! what no rain or are they just pulling to much out of it???
-
last fall they drained it for dam work, then we had a low snow season, then we had a slow snow melt which means the water filled the aquifer and not the reservoir, and then the farmers drained it down. If the farmers harvest then that's ok, but if they don't then shame on them because they know how much water it takes to grow a crop and if they took it just to collect insurance I'll be pissed!

Weather is amazing, 90ish to maybe 100 during the day, wind isn't bad (Hobie cat barely flies a hull)... About 300 yards west of the floating marina is the ss relief and buoy line, so that part of the lake is useless..

sweet !!! thank you!

So I can't post pics using the iPhone app, but they moved the entire floating marina to the launch ramp closest to the dam in the bay on the south shore (pretty rad to watch em tug it past my camp)... They are dropping it a foot a day, until they get down to 6% capacity..
-
I did read they had to move the marina down to Harris creek and close the gas dock. Now you gotta pull the boat out to get gas. That sucks. One of my favorite lakes .....
-
Maybe new app will let me post pics... First 2 are on south shore above my campsite looking toward the dam, and marina.. 3rd is looking at the floating marina and launch ramp, before they moved the marina..
