Warning! Klamath River at record low water level.
« on: July 25, 2013, 10:02:51 PM »
Yes, I know I'm not in the Central Valley, but that seems to be as far north in California that SCJB has a board for.

The Klamath river just hit 8.31 feet (record low for any date) at the mouth of the river and historically the lowest stage will be in September. This is a dangerous low water condition that can cause hazards for boaters, please use caution. Also, if they do not release water from the Trinity reservoirs we will have a massive fish kill which will impact salmon and trout populations for many years to come - currently central valley farmers are fighting to keep ALL the water even though the reservoir is full and they are not experiencing a shortage. Please, If you can, contact your elected official(s) and tell them to Save the Klamath River Salmon and release water into the Klamath.
