Morning guys, I'm trying to grease a u joint that's impossible to get to. The u joint has no zerk, just a plug in it.
It seems the only way to get to it for proper maintenance is to remove the bell housing. I've got all the large bolts
loose, unhooked the collar at the pump, but can't budge this aluminum housing. Am I missing something? It's a project, but I'd like to install a zerk for future greasing. It's on a 1992 Commander, BBC, Berk.12JE pump.
Trying to get this done, any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
Never mind. I've concluded it can't be removed while in the boat.
