Title: 454 high TQ starter.

Post by: crewchief22 on September 19, 2016, 05:03:40 PM: I've been lucky with the stock starter in my boat, but have a Powermaster high torque in my truck. It's not USCG approved, but I haven't had any problems with it.

Post by: JordanDangerfield on September 19, 2016, 05:14:21 PM: I'm running a starter out of an old corvette. It's higher torque than stock. Autozone carries them and has a lifetime warranty. I'll see if I can dig up a part number.

Look for two copper bands on the motor terminal to the solenoid.

Here is what I have two of.
