Post by: Sanger75 on July 30, 2012, 04:41:39 PM
Hey guys I have a 455 olds, boared out to a 470, in my 75 sanger that I just bought. I need to add some oil too it and was wondering what I should put in it. Any suggestions?

If you don't know what's in it, I'd recommend changing the filter and all of the oil.

Several of us use Chevron Delo 15w/40 diesel oil with good results.

Others use 20w/50 Valvoline VR-1, Torco, Royal Purple, Joe Gibbs...

Use something that you can get locally and get a little extra to keep on hand when needed.
