What gaskets do you guys use with bassetts? I used fel pros and they eventually get brittle and blow out and I get exhaust leaks. Thinking about trying copper this time around when I get them back from ceramic coating.

You need to use metal gaskets. Especially with the rough welds on the Bassett header flanges.
I normally use copper gaskets and stick em' to the header with some Ultra Copper... Sure there are many other methods out there, but this has proven pretty bulletproof...
Some guys swear by the MLS (multi layered steel) gaskets, but I feel they create hot spots at the port... The copper can take a whole bunch of heat because of their superior heat transferring properties...

Ok cool ill definitely go with the copper. I was using the really thick felpros to help with the rough welds along with some black rtv

The Black RTV is only rated for 500°F, Ultra Copper is good to 700°F.. ;)

Hey gt what gaskets do u use on bassetts? I just got the mr. Gasket copper deals today and the holes are quite a bit smaller than the holes on the header flange. And i think i ordered the biggest ones sunmit had. 2"x1.5"

Nvm measured the ports on me heads there the same as the gaskets. Guess bassett just goes a little over board lol

Never had any luck with the copper gaskets with the the copper RTV. i use the mr gasket white gaskets. remember to tighten them every couple hours. good luck..

Remflex gaskets are the only way to go they are nice and thick and compress for rough/warped headers had mine for years and no leaks
