Title: 455 intake manifold
Post by: bigmike on May 04, 2010, 04:03:28 PM
ive got a 74 sanger super jet with a 455 olds completely stock. Took of my intake manifold cuz it was leaking and that SOB is heavy. Instead off putting it back on i thought i'd put an edelbrock on. Just wanted to know which manifold to get.

Unfortunately, nowhere. Summit is your best bet, or try Jim Brock @ 818-890-1867

do you have to use the same metal gasket on the edelbrock intake?

I'm not sure, I've never ran an Olds but I think I read somewhere that you don't have to. I could be wrong though.

Jim doesn't do pics, but if he says it's good, you can take his word on it. He's old school, a man of his word.

Do your self a favor dont use the vally pan gaskit you will leak water into cyclinder use the felpro and dimple front and rear of block and maiflod and use a good sealer

already bought the metal one have to take it back to get the other gaskets as long as it doesn't affect my motor. this motor has been (knock on wood) super reliable and really good on gas can go all day on one tank witch i think is good.
