I am frustrated with my fuel system, took every hose apart, check for clogs etc. Last weekend (memorial weekend) I was out at Martinez lake, no problems saturday drove long way up to just few miles south of walters. turned back head down since my friends jetski was running low in gas, my boat runs perfectly smooth. towed my friends jetski back to the house dock, and headed over filled another $100 gas into it from fishers landing pump. went back up river to sandbar, kicked there til dusk. drove back to house, next day (sunday) drove back up the river messing around on float tube, all day running great.. the monday morning getting ready to head ramps few miles south my girlfriend drove my truck n trailer from Fregston Lake (in califorina side from martinez) all the way to nearby dam. My boat ran for 3 mintues and stalled.. not getting any fuel going through.. paddled my boat by myself laying on nose paddle like i was on surfboard back to dock, house. Friend had some reception on phone calling my gf that my boat broke down, drove back to the house 45 mintues in dirt roads. Anyways, today I took the fuel lines apart check for clogs etc, dont find any clog in hoses or filters. tested them by using gas can on every end and exestion hose pumping it through. Only thing i didnt test was the water seperator..... I was wondering why does my boat have that when I checked out every other jetboats theres no water seperator filter? do i really need it? its a 454 bbc 4 bolt, there is three fuel filters (one of each two right after sender on tanks, and one right before electrical carter fuel pump). I dont know how I can check with the sender since its a 18 gallon x2 fuel tanks with welded on sender tube, and 90* ewlbow hose end fitting. Do I just blow to see if it bubbles, or take whole gas tank out??

  How did you know I dont have fuel pressure gague? thats true about water in gas, although is that thing only for water seperating?? I mean there is two metal canned fuel filters before the water seperator, then another one after. theyre 3 inches dia, 3 inches long. was replaced last fall. only took boat out average less than 8 hours so far. Whats your option about it being clogged? I took the line from pump to carb off, and into another gas jug. with all hoses attached to every single ends nothing pumps through. but when i had hose off of the water seperator and tuck it in the full filled fuel jug, and the one end goes to carb into another small fuel jig it pumps through fine.

curiousy out of your pictures, why is there diverts in two ends, and one more hose coming in from an cut end down?

the ball valves mount to my tank pickup tubes, and the one going down goes to my fuel pump.  i recently changed pumps though so its a liiiittle different now. 

gotcha, nice braided lines, you must be high roller molla guy. lol.. I finally figured out what was the issue, that damn water seperator.. it will not suck fuel through... i replaced all non-fuel injection hoses, still wouldnt pump gas through, then i deiced to attach hose straight from 2 into one switch box to the fuel pump (filter in way) it pumps fuel through smoothly at 7psi. So, maybe the filter is clogged??

high roller, hardly.  not wanting to mess with hoses and hoseclamps and stuff leaking?  yup!

ive already gone thru 1 filter cartridge since owning the boat, and ive only used it twice, heh.  it sat for a long time, then the first trip out the tanks stirred up and completely plugged up the filter... ended up having to get towed in by my pops. 

now i always carry a spare.

I have one of the big ass water/fuel seperators/ filter. Its all 3 in one. I was debating on taking it off after getting crap from my friends for having it on there but once I drained it a few times and they were able to see all the nasty water/fuel that came out of it, i decided to keep it on there. Youd be suprised what kinda junk comes out of one. I do have a stainless steel 100 micron pre filter right before the pump, but the seperator is after the pump, but before the regulator and carb. its a big ass one too, it even has a lil plug in the bottom to drain the water thats collected. i actually replaced the element yesterday. You can get the elements at napa, they are about 20 bux and they look like a big ass oil filter. The part number is 3405.
