Okay so I'm picking up amother 460. It's stock. I'm looking at spraying this thing with 100 shot and moving up to 200 shot max. I have a set of d3ve heads with roller rockers and a set of c8ve heads. Looking to get the most power and speed I can. It'll he going in anew 18ft miller with a setback pump with an A impeller.
Biggest question is where do I want my hp and torque at? I ran a calculator and it's coming up with torque over 1000 at 1000 rpm and about 500 to 600 hp at 5500. Kinda lost here.

First, I doubt seriously your going to move 900 cfm of real world air.

I don't know if any of this will help-
5500 rpm is 595.26 hp, with an "A" impeller. (from JBP)
adding a 150 hp shot of NO2, should net about 5900-6K rpm.
These are all theoretical/ballpark figures.
With building that 460, The iron heads will be a handicap. And get a single plane intake.
I know zip about NO2, Just add cubic dollars.

The impeller is stalling the engine in a jet boat, it and horsepower are what governs what RPM the engine will turn. If the engine makes additional horsepower along the impeller curve, the RPM, which the impeller stalls the engine, will increase.

First off, how much power do you wish to make with the engine naturally aspirated? If only 500 hp +/-, then there are several ways to get there with either the C8VE heads or the D3VE heads, and if you want more power than that then the C8VE heads are good for a couple hundred more if you really want.

I don't really have a number I'd like to reach. I was thinking 450 to 500 n/a. I was thinking of running the c8ve heads I have and maybe porting them a little. I have a set of arias flat top forged pistons but I believe that will put my compression ratio up to around 12:1 with the c8 heads.

If you have OT headers as pictured, decent roller rockers for those D3VE heads, and forged flat top pistons for the 460, then 450 hp is doable in a well planned combo and could work with a 100-200 shot of N20. The cam you posted wouldn't be my first choice, less so if you want to use nitrous once in awhile. I'd recommend a custom flat tappet grind to make the best of such a budget build.
If you want more power than that, then it's probably a good idea to switch to the C8VE heads and rethink your overall engine combo (ie, stroker etc). Build cost increase will be commensurate with the associated upgrades, of course.
