is this block any good  is it worth buying to build  say 450 to 500 hp D9TE-AB

 You should get a hold of Paul at High Flow Dynamics ( LakesOnly on here), to see if there is any new info about them.   The D9TE is the newer block and has/had an external balanced crank.  Heres a link to some block info from Paul's site.
