Guys need some help. just putting new motor together decided to replace the old stock rockers with some stainless 1.7 rollers but im trying to adjust but new lock nuts barely grab thread before placing tension on pushrod almost seems rolcker studs are not long enough these are suppost to be stock replacements any advice?
this is b.s. these were suppost to be stck replacement makes me wanna go back to the stockers 
The rollers are supposed to be stock replacements for the shoe-type stockers??? Uh, I would be very surprised...
Most all the different aftermarket rocker arm manufactures create their rocker arms however they believe they should be designed. (Some manufacturers do copy others, but not most.) This means that because most are different, you will likely need to change out pushrods most every time that you change roller rocker brand. This is necessary in order to maintain good valve train geometery.
Rarely are roller rockers a drop-in deal with no other changes. Sometimes the studs will need to be longer, sometimes the underside of the rocker body will need to be relieved, sometimes you may need to add lash caps for retainer clearance, etc. And if the geometry is
way off after just dropping the rocker arms on and not adjusting pushrod length, you may have bigger engine problems down the road...sometimes sooner than later.
The challenge of learning about and setting up engines properly is supposed to be fun and part of the adventure. If you think all the necessary effort is "bs" and it confuses you, then get out of your engine and learn more about what you are trying to accomplish...or enlist the assitance of somebody that is well versed in this area. An enducation in "Rocker Arm Geometry 101" cannot be explained in a single post.
