Title: 460 water plate ?

There are 2 extra holes in the middle of the plate. am I missing a back plate that goes in front of the timing cover ? Thanks for the help

I seem to recall, and a quick Google search for "460 Ford timing cover" semi-confirms my thoughts that those are for bolts threaded into the cover.  You shouldn't need any other plates.  Just bolt it on to the cover.

Yeah found out that I had a later year Ford so it no longer had those bolts so I welded up the cover
