Title: 468 with 95- 110psi compression

My buddy was looking at a boat, the seller was willing to let us do a compression test. The engine has a mild cam so I wouldn't expect overlap. Is this thing tired? Or???

Sounds about right, if you just plugged in the tester and gave her a couple of cranks.

If it runs, run it for a minute and get some oil on the rings and a little heat.
Should read a little more accurate.

Thanks Gentleman, That was a cold raw test, warmed it up then did a retest it looked way more stable 105-110 all across. The seller is going to let us do a test float so we should see how she reacts with a load and flow.

This is always a good test. I prefer to do a leak down. Get the motor nice and warm first. Then do the leak down. This way you will know if the whole package is good.
