Where to have logs machined
« on: July 24, 2014, 09:53:22 AM »
Hi all,

Where in the IE can i have logs machined? I would like to make sure the gasket surface is flat, also between the log and the snail. The SBC logs i just bought look like they had sealing problems. They have like 3 gaskets between the logs and the snails.

thanks

I haven't tried logs, but Redlands Muffler does exhaust manifolds all the time.  They just run them on a large belt sander.

Might be worth a call to them or your local muffler shop

Most logs will leak at the ports unless you have a good set like Harman. Some have a thick enough block/water running through the port. The small flange type will always have issues.
