Pull the drain plug, let it drip dry for about 10 minutes...pour a quart in each valve cover...let that drain. Change the filter, fill it up with oil, fire it up and get the oil hot....then take a sample off the bottom of the pan...if it looks like milkshake..change it again. if not, put it in the water and run it hard...remember, the harder you beat on it, the hotter the oil will get. The hotter the oil gets, the more moisture will cook off of it.
So, abuse, in this case...will "fix it".
