Title: Aluminum Weld on Marine fuel filler necks...who sells them.
Post by: TJS Nordic on August 17, 2010, 07:09:55 PM: Ok I got another project boat. Sorry not a jet. It is an 89 Baja 190es. Rotted floor, stringers, bad motor the whole works. Only thing is that the hull is mint. Not a scratch on this thing. Anyway, I want to build a new fuel tank for this and mount it under the back seat. I looked online at Moeller tanks and nothing will fit. I know I know...but it's not coast guard approved. Well I tell you what the alum. fuel tank that came with the boat should not be approved either. You gotta see the bubblegum and snot welds. How do they get away with this. So who sells a 2" filler neck that has the little groves in it and it curved. Sounds like a phalic symbol.

Let me know Ill keep posting links. this is the first one that came to mind. you can go with a offroad style, different,beefy, nice, you know, your style! ;)

It is not threaded. It has grooves in it like a huge push lock barb fitting. I think I am going to cut the old one off the tank and use that one when I build my tank.
