Title: Anyone around Yucaipa ?

The timing is all off on my boat and I need to get it running by this weekend and I have no idea what I'm doing. Anyone willing to help me out? It ran fine but I removed the distributor and now it just backfires when I try to start it.

Maybe its off a tooth. Try moving the wires one post over

Dose it just back fire or dose it start and back fire it could be 180 out

It doesn't start. Just backfires when I crank it.

Make sure number one cylinder is at top dead center and pull the distributor and turn rotor to number one on cap and reinstall distributor its that easy

Pull the spark plug to insure piston is at top u can use a wire to check if u can't see down the spark plug hole
