I just picked up my first boat, a 1977 Pioneer Jet boat, and after running it with water to check everything I have no oil pressure in the motor. #REDFLAG
So, I think it is time for a rebuild just to be safe. My question is if anyone knows of someone who builds MARINE 460 motors in the San Diego area? Also what mods or parts you recommend for the build?
The current setup is the 77 HARMAN MARINE ENGINE 460 HM7, Holley 650 carb, edelbrock performer intake, and is running a Berkeley 12-jg-a pump. I'm new to the Ford motors and know nothing about them, so I am looking for your help on what is recommended on a build to be reliable while still being able to have some fun.
Your ideas and or links to products are greatly appreciated.

Just checked out the Bostick Racing Engines page, Thanks for the information. I work at the Toyota Dealership right down the road so I will shoot over there during a lunch some time this coming week.

I was contacted by someone from the shop via Facebook when I asked a question on a FB video of a 460. This guy seems to know his stuff and threw a bunch of options at me right off the bat!

Gonna jump on the band wagon and say Its well worth the drive, for a solid running engine. He's a good dude and wont do you wrong. Of course they're shops that are closer but finding one you can trust and reputable will be a challenge.
Hopefully someone can chime in with a closer trustworthy shop, but if not. It doesn't hurt to at least give Bosticks a call.

Bostick builds good reliable power. He takes his time and does a lot that you won't get from other shops. All his balancing and machine work is done in house. He puts all his builds on Instagram and face book

Well it looks like the general consensus is Bostick.... Thanks again for all your posts and help with step one of getting the motor done right. Can't wait for my first boat ride in my new purchase.
