Anyone with experience running 'funny gas' in jets?
« on: September 27, 2007, 03:48:35 PM »
Was thinkin' of putting a 150HP shot of NOS on my jet boat. Anyone here ever driven a jet with NOS? What happens when you kick it in (as far as what does the boat do/how does it handle)? Is it like 'slammed in the back of your seat' response?

From what I've heard, it won't give you a "slam your ass in the seat" feeling and for every 100 shot of NOS you get a 3 to 5 mph increase in W.O.T.. Again, that's just what Ive "heard"...

Dino over at Teague told me after about 500 HP you can expect 12 MPH or so per 100HP with a prop.
Then with a jet and the same scenario he told me you can expect about 3-4MPH per 100 HP.
Dave at Aggressor told me the same thing about the jet set up if all you do is engine work. You can stretch more than that if you do pump work. Their dual drive is the shit.
