launched the boat, engine fired. putted around for a bit while my lady friend parked the tow rig to let it warm up.
turned off the engine while she climbed in, pushed off the dock... and it wouldnt restart.
lifegaurd tried to help me jump start it to no avail, then he towed me back.
got the engine to fire up after charging the battery at home for a bit, then checked the alternator with my charger and it says its bad.
so where do i take my alternator in the SFV(818) area to have it rebuilt.
good news... the boat floats

ok so im thinking i should just replace it. its a Motorola and i had it rebuilt last year. what should i look for in an alternator, how many amps, etc its behind the driver side, next to the harmonic balancer

I'll give you 3 alternators for a 12 pack of guiness (draft, not stout). They all work, 2 are chrome, one is a one wire
