So we got a carb (thanks Ray) and a rebuild kit which I hope is the right one. It was a pain in the ass to get and I have my doubts. I have never rebuilt a carb and after checking out the exploded views and the instructins that seem to be translated from Chinese to English - and poorly to boot - I am concerned about my ability to do this properly. Is there anyone in the So Cal area willing to lend me a hand and show me how to do this properly? I would like for Bebo and I to  learn to do this so that we can do it ourselves in the future. The carb is a Holley. The kit is a BWD from Kragen I think. I had a lot of trouble finding a kit. For some reason nobody could find a kit from the numbers on the carb. It is a marine carb btw.

Anytime would work for us. I would rather we wait and do it right than screw it all up.

Contact Marc at Super Shops in San Diego (marcsrollin on SCJB) or J&M Speed Center in Riverside to get the right kit for what you have.

The problem with the aftermarket (Hygrade/BWD) Holley kits is they can't use the OE design needle and seat assembly.  The original version will not allow you to pull the threads out of the bowl when tightened but the replacements use a jam nut design that can.

Be careful.

Ray I didn't expect it either. Nobody I dealt with could come up with a rebuild kit # for it. Surprised me too cuz there is a tg on the carb with numbers on it.
