Title: BBC Gen lV vs. Gen. V

Hi, i bought a bell housing, front motor plate and the guy told me its for a gen lV motor i talked to alot of other people and they say they dont see why it wont fit a gen V motor does anyone know? how bout exhaust logs? and oil pan?, valve covers, just wondering when i buy parts if it matters what gen its for

The oil pans are different, as are the timing covers, but otherwise mounts, exhaust, and valve covers all will work fine. 

Harmonic balancer and flywheel/flexplate will fit, but the counter weight is a bit different so it will be out of balance.
