Does anyone know what shape the intake ports are on my 97 BBC Marine Power Sport Pac??
Pics, and gonna need a lot more info., my swag most likely oval.

My `96 had the dreaded peanut ports.
Indmar Marine 400 hp motor.

I would need a casting number to tell you with 100% accuracy. If you remove the valve cover you will see a number i.e.; 10141279. My bet (99%) you have what is known as an "oval" port head. This is a great "torque" cylinder head.
If you are using an aluminum intake make sure you use "soft" intake gaskets. Fel-Pro sells two different kinds black ones (aluminum intakes) and blue ones (cast iron intakes). A lot of people use the blue ones with an aluminum intake and they will start to leak creating a vacuum leak in the lifter valley.

Thank you for the input! Josh I will get the casting number and let you know. I'm not running an aluminum intake yet but probably will be by next summer I will be sure to get soft manifold gaskets.
