Wondering if anyone knows of a good priced and reliable shop out here. Boats running great but getting too much fuel. I don't know much about carburetors but it's Smoking like crazy out the exhaust. Runs great on land but then after 20 minutes on the water it starts smoking.

More info....engine setup? Carb setup? Smoke, black or white smoke. Might not be a carb. The more info you lay on us the better advice you'll get.

It's a Holley Carb on a 1978 460ci. Shooting out black smoke after it's on the water for about 15 minutes. Boats not short on power it still moves pretty quick! We've replaced the floats so far. Boat sat for a few years before I bought it.

Not to sure if thats the carb. I use a guy that does it in his garage and he is an old drag racer and he is at 43rd Abe and Olive and he is cheaper than the other guys but don't expect same day service. His name is Roger Johnson 480-319-0105

Any ideas what it could be? Not much experience on marine engines. My first boat had a flawless 350ci so never encountered any problems. I appreciate all your input and have been referred to Dry Dock by a few friends. Plus they have saved me on a couple holiday weekends with a starter and alternator.
