Hello Everyone,
I just picked up a new river float and am stoked on the hull and colors. The boat has a rebuilt olds 455 that has been bored .030 over. It's a 77 19' Kona. For some reason I've got fuel but no spark. I've looked at wiring diagrams and have tried figuring it out. Motor will turn over, and Ive got fuel, but no spark. I tried bypassing the resistor, thinking that may be the issue, but that didn't help. Tried different coils, thinking the Mallory one might be bad, but the coils aren't even producing spark. I used a test light to make sure I was getting juice when the key is on. I'm not too sure what I'm missing. The ground to the block is good, and all of the wiring seems to be connected properly and there aren't any cuts or Knicks in the wiring. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! I'm sure it's something simple, but I'm stumped.
