Might be a dumb question, still pretty new to this whole thing but, I understand the bilge blower is used to vent fumes out of the engine compartment. When I got my Omega it had two. One on each side of the engine. I noticed one was hooked up backwards (blowing air into the engine compartment). I was just wondering what the census on this was. Is it something I should do when I put it all back together? Or are a couple of vents in the hatch cover sufficient to provide air for the 460? Just curious what you guys think or what you're running.

I don't see the need for the blower going into the compartment. The blower pulling air out should create enough negative pressure to clear the bilge on its own. And hey you'll have an extra blower sitting on the shelf if the other one goes out.

You only need to run the blower for 2 minutes before start up and when idling. Once you are at speed you can turn the blower off. I see how the extra blower bringing in fresh air will help clear the fumes a little faster, but I don't think its absolutely necessary. just my .02
