Milky oil !!

Hey guys, I'm out here in Havasu and am getting water in my oil. I took it to elsinore Monday, noticed cylinder one was spraying a lot of water out of the weap hole. So I centered the t valve and put a ball valve in between motor and T valve thinking that's how I was getting water in the oil. Now I'm out here and it's doing the same thing with water shut off to headers. So I'm thinking it's the head, could it just be bad gaskets or would you think it's a cracked head. Please give me your input would like to wrench on it and get back in the water

Yeah its fully opened, I was told there's a real fine line with restricting the flow of water into the motor, and the hose is 5/8 from pump to engine, is that too much

As long as you have a water temp gauge, I'd close the valve a turn or two. Also check the spring and check ball in the tee valve

yeah the temp gauge is fucking around too, and the T valve is brand new but I have another might switch them out to see if it doesn't anything, would really notice a cracked head that's what I'm really worried about

My valve is opened 3/4 of a turn and it still puts 15psi of water in the motor a wot.

is that on a gate valve or a quarter turn ball valve, I have a quarter turn ball valve after the pump

First thing I would do is a compression test. There should be an AutoZone, where you can rent a compression tester, near wherever you are. That will indicate a compromised gasket. Be advised that the tools from AutoZone are abused and you can't take much stock in the actual numbers, but compare cylinder to cylinder and look for variations. Chances are it won't cost you anything but a little time before charging parts.

Pressure test it. I made a cap for one end of the outlet, then did a schrader valve on the inlet, sprayed soapy water and found my head gaskets didn't seal. It held 20 lbs for 2 hours then started to drop, foam started forming where the heads and block connected. Had the block refinished and problem solved

ill have to do that tomorrow, ran into more issues. Two rocker arms completely loose with bent push rods and lifters out of place, So have to wait till morning to get those hopefully it's the last of the problems I run into for this trip haha

not the most I've this motor at the house is maybe 15 min and not at one time, and have only ran the new motor in the water for maybe 45 min of actual running time

I turn water on after the boat is running, I have a feeling the intake wasn't sealed well and I blew a head gasket, we will find out this weekend just hoping I didn't crack a head
