I was just wondering who is using a Bypass regulator ? I was thinking of running the fuel pump straight to a 4-port fuel log and then each port to a bowl inlet this would give me good fuel flow with out getting regulated any Excess fuel after the bowl was full would get Bypass through the regulator back to the tank you could also adjust hell much fuel you wanted out. :thumbup:

The only catch i can think of is that it would not work as well if you had 2 tanks. You would have to do some testing to get the right amount of fuel back to both tanks and it would require some extra plumbing to make it all work well. But a return fuel system is far better than a deadhead setup.

I just ran the return line back to a valve, that matched the supply valve, and made sure that when I was running the valves were supplying and returning from/to the same side tank. This set up also made it possible to transfer (pump) gas from one side tank to the other--I could fill up both tanks at the gas station through just one fuel fill.

I could easily be wrong here....but can't you have too large of a return line??? I thought like a -4 was about right.

Bigger the better for the most part, you dont want the returned fuel to be under pressure....
If it were mine, I would run the return to just before the fuel pump inlet, the reason is no worries where the fuel goes and you only have to filter the fuel once...
Just me though. Bypass regulators are worth the effort if you don't mind the extra plumbing... :thumbup:
