I have seen a set of 849.00 aluminum heads on ebay for the 460 but im not sure which ones to stick with. I got the a2a heads on my boat now but ive got a set of c8ve-e heads that have been ported that I can put on that are completely reworked but ive come across these that are always available if you look at ebay it has all the specs.
Didnt know if someone could tell me if they would work better for me.
So far its just a flat top 460 with a few small mods
270 cam ( largest cam i could run with press in rocker studs)
matched springs and lifters
billet dist. and coil
offenhauser tunnel ram
850 holley double pumper carb
Im planning on installing a 305h cam so im looking to kinda match that setup that will work best

Ford 385 Series engine never came with a press-in rocker stud valve train, so I'm not sure which of the three different heads your referring when you say they have press-in studs.
Of the three different cylinder heads mentioned in your post, the C8VE heads stand to support the greatest amount of power in a naturally apsirated engine, and in your case for the least amount of financial investment.
Personally, I'd even set up the D3VE's before spending $850 on the procomp heads, and that $850 invested into the D3VE's can result in a factory head that supports as much hp as the procomps...and possibly more.
If you must have an aluminum head for some reason, but want some that can also support good power (more than the factory iron heads), then you're going to have to pay for them. Plan on spending at least $1700 and likely over $2000 by the time they are installed onto your boat's engine.
While anything is possible, there are not a lot of jet boat engine combinations where I would select the Comp 305H for the Ford 460, in fact it is very unlikely. By the way, with a camshaft of that size you will need to be sure proper mods are executed on the iron heads or risk valve train failure.

p.s.: Depending on whether your engine is an OEM shortblock or recently rebuilt with new flat top pistons, etc, your engine's static compression ratio with the C8VE heads can be anywhere between 10:1-11.7:1....most of which is not pump gas friendly.
