Ok...I have looked and searched for and answere to this one also on more sites than this....
Have a Holley 750 list 1310-3 that has a moist secondaries shaft leak when motor is shut off and is under fuel pressure (6psi max after engine is shut off or runninig). I have set the rear float 1/8 of an inch below the site window with the carb level. I know Holley's are known for this if the bushings are worn on the shaft or if it has to much play in the shaft. So i replaced the shaft and bushings and it is still doing it. I looked at the butterflies when it was shut down and I can see them getting wet, but can't tell where the fuel is comming from. Any ideas? It has had a kit put in it with all new no stick gaskets, but this is really getting the best of me as how to stop it.

Put O rings onthe shaft

You replaced the bushings, did you use factory Holley bushings? Everytime that I replace the shafts and bushings, I always replace the existing bushings with only factory replacement bushings. The other bushings always leak. The factory ones are tough to find.
The best way to stop those carb woes is to invest a little and buy one of these. $4500 or wet shafts.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. No to the factory bushings unless you call a holley kit factory. O0I think I am going to just invest in a new base plate for it later. Just dont like the idea of running it with a little drip now and then. :o As for the oring deal also.....no way to mill the shafts.... Thanks for the ideas though....

That drip is exactly what your marine carb is designed NOT to do. Sounds like the baseplate may have been replaced with a non marine version at one time maybe? :screwy:
